Individual Psychotherapy
If you are anxious, sad, lonely, or struggling with a difficult situation, individual therapy can help. By focusing on your concerns in the context of a caring relationship, you can discover new ways to understand and regulate your feelings and new ways to work with a difficult life situation. Individual therapy may be what you need if you are experiencing some of the following difficulties:

Building confidence in your ability to handle uncertainty can be a first step. I have been able to help most people who have come to me both to feel better and to function more creatively in their personal and professional lives. Making the decision to come to talk to someone you don’t know, with the hope that I can be useful, is not easy to do. I will work to make you feel as comfortable as possible, including feeling more hopeful, and you will have a partner as you work to understand your difficulties.
My home office in Virginia Beach is very private and secluded, and I can also speak with you by phone, FaceTime, or Skype. Working electronically saves travel time and is a very convenient, confidential way of working together from the privacy of your own home.
